And you most likely have had no idea about how these silicone rings are connected with vaping altogether. Well, these vape bands have an important mission – to protect the glass tank. However, even if you are not a tank user, there are still other uses for vape bands you may find quite helpful.

This article may be very useful for newbies out there, so as for some experienced fellow vapers who have still never used vape bands and never had an understanding of their intended use. So what is a vape band? And what is it meant for?

What Is A Vape Band

Vape band is a small rubber or silicone ring that typically serves as a bumper for your glass vape tank. They come in a slew of shapes and sizes and are usually being given away for free by vape tank suppliers. Are vape bands the same as o-rings? The answer is no, they are similar yet different accessories. However, they may serve you in a similar way. What are o rings used for in vaping? They prevent e-juice from leaking out as well. However, they are typically not that large as vape bands are.

What Are Vape Bands For

Vape accessories

Vape bands are not the most sophisticated vape accessories out there, but they do come in handy. Here are 5 simple ways for long-term use of vape bands.

   1.Vape bands protect your tank

You know that troubles may happen in the blink of an eye, don’t you? And dropping down your e-cig is exactly that trouble you may unexpectedly face in your daily life. Bam! Your glass tank shatters and your e-juice leaks out. Vape bands can protect your glass tank from falls and tip-overs. Not only that, but also from breaking while carrying a mod and tank in a purse, pocket, car cup holder, and the list goes on. So simply buy an appropriately sized band, wrap your tank, set it and forget it. These accessory will stick out roughly 1.5 mm from your tank’s glass, thus making for a shock absorbing, rubber bumper.

   2.Vape bands prevent leaking

These small rings are definitely not intended to protect your box mod directly. But they do offer a bit of anti-leaking protection, preventing e-juice from leaking out between the various tank components, or the glass and metal parts.

3.Vape bands help you express your personal style

Vape gear is all about creativeness. Vape tank bands come in excessive amount of colours and sizes. Blue, red, pink or purple; some rings may even glow in the dark. Some bands come with logos on them as typically vape companies use them to market their brand names. So if you have a favorite brand or shop, these bands can be a good way to help spread the word.

4.Vape bands can protect your tube mod

Vape rings can save your tubular vape mod when it tips over. But it’s not the only way bands can serve as a protection your your most favourite tube mod. If you place a vape band right above the fire button of your electronic device, that will also prevent any leaking e-juice and getting into the vital buttons. Liquid getting into the buttons can literary ruin your device.

5.Vape bands can help you grip your tank

If you want to take your tank off of the mod, bands are on hand again. Forget about jar openers, square of cloths or any other things you may find appropriate for taking apart your RTA or RDA from the mod. E-cig band is the best option when it comes to prying apart overtightened or gunky from moisture tank parts.

Summing Up

Most likely vape bands were never intended for so many purposes we use them nowadays, but they work nonetheless. If you haven’t tried using them, you should – it’s really worth it. They are quite cheap and can be found in most of online vape shops so as in any brick and mortar vape store. If you spend around £50 on your most favourite vape kit, spending a few GBP will surely help you protect your big vape investment so as to save you some heartache.

Do you use a vape band? And has it ever helped you prevent a trouble with your device?
