So simply buy an appropriately sized band, wrap your tank, set it and forget it. These accessory will stick out roughly 1.5 mm from your tank’s glass, thus making for a shock absorbing, rubber bumper.

These small rings are definitely not intended to protect your box mod directly. But they do offer a bit of anti-leaking protection, preventing e-juice from leaking out between the various tank components, or the glass and metal parts.
