How to choose e-liquid if you are just switching to vapor.

If you are just about to buy an e-cigarette, choosing an e-liquid can be a daunting process. Lots of brands, flavors and weird words to consider when choosing.

The choice is also complicated and not only by the huge choice, but also by the presence of many types of electronic cigarettes, which should also be considered when choosing an e-liquid.

The main parameters for choosing liquids:

1.Fortress (amount of nicotine)

2. The ratio of the main components of VG / PG

3.E-cigarette vaporizer type

4.Taste liquid

Liquid strength

The choice of liquid strength is the most important parameter. If the strength is not chosen correctly, you may have problems either with a strong blow to the throat, or with an insufficient amount of nicotine.

There are 2 types of nicotine - regular and salt nicotine.

Possible strengths of regular nicotine: 0, 1.5, 3, 6, 12, 18 mg per 1 ml of liquid.

Fortress of liquid on salt nicotine: 5, 10, 15, 25, 30, 35, 40, 50, 65 mg per 1 ml of liquid.

In conventional cigarettes, the strength is determined by the amount of nicotine per 1 cigarette in mg.

There are 2 types of thrust according to the amount of steam:

1. Cigarette (MTL) - a couple of the same as from cigarettes or a little more.

2. Hookah - a lot, a lot of steam.

For cigarette cravings, it is used on saline from 15 to 65 mg, with regular nicotine from 3 to 12 mg.

For hookah cravings on salt nicotine 5-10 mg, on the usual 0-6 mg / ml of liquid.

Of course, the choice of fortress is very individual. But do not choose a liquid with a higher level than we recommend.

VG/PG ratio

VG (Vegetable Glycerine) - vegetable glycerin, the concentration is responsible for the amount of steam.

PG (Propylene Glycol) - propylene glycol, responsible for the feeling of strength and taste. Increasing the concentration of PG increases the throat hit and makes the taste more intense.

The choice of VG / PG ratio is an important aspect that affects the comfort of vaping. Different ratios affect the density of the liquid and the feeling of strength.

Common Types of Ratios and Their Applications

50VG/50PG is the classic solution for cigarette cravings. The liquid turns out to be as “liquid” as possible and enters the evaporator perfectly even with small holes for liquid intake. Good taste with little vapor, strong throat hit.

65VG / 35PG, 60VG / 40PG - a universal, average solution that is perfect for 90% of devices. Moderate body, richness and throat hit.

70VG/30PG is the most common ratio for hookah devices. Good vapor density, soft hit on the throat, rich flavor with large puffs of steam.

75VG/25PG, 80VG/20PG - ratio for maximum steam puffs. The liquid will be as thick as possible and is suitable only for really powerful devices, tanks for hookah traction and drips.

Evaporator type

Many novice vapers encounter issues with leaking or burning e-cigarette vaporizers. In many cases, this is due precisely to the wrong choice of liquid.

Before choosing a liquid with the desired ratio, first of all, you should pay attention to the evaporator.

If the evaporator has small liquid intake holes - and you fill in liquid more than 60VG - then the evaporator wool will begin to be poorly supplied, with a high probability it will start to burn.

If you observe a rapid failure of the evaporator, a burnt taste quickly (within a couple of days) appears - it is worth increasing the amount of PG in the liquid.

If you see that the liquid spits when tightening or flows out gradually from the holes of the air duct, then on the contrary, it is worth increasing the amount of VG.

Taste

The advantage of electronic cigarettes is precisely the huge selection of flavors. You can easily afford to change tastes every day. In the morning you can steam coffee with a croissant, and accompany the evening with dessert or some kind of alcoholic flavor.

Taste is such a subjective concept when choosing a liquid that it is very difficult to rely on advice or ratings.

Unfortunately, in most cases it is worth understanding that this or that taste will definitely suit you, it will be possible only after you try it.

Premium or Uk, expensive or cheap?

By "premium" liquids for electronic cigarettes, they usually mean foreign-made liquids, primarily American ones.

American e-liquids are popular around the world primarily because of their guaranteed quality and unique flavors.

But at the same time, the composition and technology of such liquids are absolutely identical to Uk and any other liquids.

Therefore, you should choose American or any foreign liquids only if you do not trust Uk manufacturers. In other cases, it is not worth overpaying.

Self-mixing?

In addition to buying a ready-made liquid, you can also mix the liquid yourself. To do this, it will be enough to buy the components of the base (propylene glycol, glycerin, nicotine), or a ready-made base and flavor.

Mixing all this in the right proportions, you can get ready yu liquid. This will save you money in many cases.

But after the price, all the benefits end.

Self-mixing requires constant work and is suitable only for those who like to experiment on their own.

In general, we do not recommend relying on self-mixing at the start of using an electronic cigarette.
