How to choose a coil for a serviced atomizer, which is better?

Many beginners are faced with the problem of choosing coils for a serviced atomizer or drip. We will try to tell about the main features in detail.

Spiral material

In the used coils for serviced atomizers, usually only 3 types of material are used: A1 kanthal, stainless steel and nichrome.

Each of these materials has its own advantages and disadvantages.

What material is better?

The discussion about which material is better has been going on for years and there is no clear answer.

In fact, the material can affect the taste and durability of the coil itself (how many burns it will withstand).

1. Nichrome is one of the most heat-resistant metals (of those that are found everywhere), it conveys taste well, and can change resistance when heated.

2. Kanthal is also quite refractory, it tolerates high temperatures well, but it has a higher resistance and contains iron, which can oxidize.

3. Stainless steel - has more average characteristics, it does not have high heat resistance, but is capable of subjectively producing a better taste.

When answering the question of what is better, it is worth considering the purpose of use. You will use the device for cigarette cravings or hookah. To make a choice, look at the table:

Nichrome

1.For hookah and cigarette cravings

2. Good taste transfer

3.Easy to heat up and cool down

4.Low resistance

5.Does not oxidize

Kanthal

1.Better for cigarette cravings

2. Not a bad transfer of taste

3.Slowly cool and heat up

4.Higher resistance

5.Can oxidize

Stainless steel

1.For hookah and cigarette cravings

2. Normally conveys taste

3.Easy to heat up and cool down

4.Low resistance

5.Does not oxidize

6.Can use for temperature control

It can be concluded that knowledge of the material of the coil of the atomizer being serviced affects, of course, the vaporization, but its influence is not very strong. Most materials behave very similarly.

Coil resistance

Resistance is one of the most important factors when choosing a coil, especially in a resistance-to-material format.

2 points are important:

1. The lower the resistance, the faster the coil heats up at the same power

2.Low resistance requires higher current output from the mod.

That is, with low resistance, the coil heats up faster but requires more energy.

There is also a classification of spirals according to the type of devices used and tightening:

1.0.05 -0.08 Ohm - optimal for a mechanical mod.

2.0.1-0.3 Ohm - powerful hookah traction

3.0.3-0.5 Ohm - medium hookah draw

4.0.6-0.8 ohm - free cigarette draw

5.1.0 ohm and above - tight cigarette cravings.

Already on the basis of the classification data, we can conclude which spirals are right for you.

It is also worth considering that the installation of 2 or more spirals affects the final resistance.

When installing 2 coils, it is worth dividing the resistance of one by 2. For example, when installing 2 coils of 0.25 Ohm each, you will end up with a resistance of about 0.13 before burning. And after burning about 0.15 ohms.

Types by pattern and strands

Many people first of all pay attention to the pattern when choosing a spiral, but this is not always an important factor.

By the number of wires (cores)

In total there are 2 types of spirals. These are single-core (or microcoil) and multi-core types (clapton, various fuses and cable).

In modern coils, both types can be used on both hookah and cigarette type devices. But still, the use of one core is not rational for drips and tanks for hookah traction.

fuses

Fuses are all spirals that have more than one core. Such a spiral is made by winding a thin wire on a thick one.

There are fuses for one core (clapton), as well as from 2 or more cores (DualCore, TriCore, QuadCore). The more veins - the more voluminous the spiral and the larger the evaporation area, but also the more energy will be needed for instant heating.

There are also varieties for weaving a spiral braid (Alien, Staple).

Braid pattern

The pattern affects the drink of the spiral itself. That is, the more complex the pattern, the more liquid will evaporate from the surface of the spiral, and not from the surface of the cotton wool.

More complex patterns are capable of generating a better flavor response from the device.

conclusions

1. The material of the spiral affects, but mostly if you make this spiral yourself

2.Resistance directly affects vaporization

3. The less resistance, the more hookah cravings you can get

4. Cigarette draft requires coils 0.6 ohm and above

5. A more complex spiral pattern enhances the flavor.

6. Spirals of the same resistance can be heated in different ways

7. Single strand coils (micro coils) are better for cigarette craving devices

8.Multi-core coils can be used on any devices

9. The best spiral does not exist, there are spirals for the needs.
